We are an in-office company, and our expectation is that employees primarily work from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week. However, we also recognize the importance of flexibility and trust our employees to manage their schedules responsibly. This may include occasional remote work, starting the day with morning meetings from home before heading to the office, or leaving earlier when needed to accommodate family commitments. (Note: For EpiSci job openings, fully remote work will be considered by exception.)

About the role

Join our rapidly growing, late-stage startup as a Senior Accountant. You’ll play a critical role in supporting our global accounting operations, optimizing processes, and ensuring accuracy as we prepare for an IPO. This is a hands-on position requiring strong NetSuite skills, experience with multi-entity and multi-currency consolidations, and a passion for building scalable processes in a fast-paced environment.

At Applied Intuition, you will:

  • Manage and execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
  • Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Maintain and improve the integrity of the general ledger and financial records
  • Assist in developing, documenting, and implementing accounting policies and procedures to support SOX compliance and IPO readiness
  • Collaborate with outsourced international accounting partners to ensure quality and timely deliverables
  • Prepare management reports and variance analyses for leadership
  • Support external audits, including preparing work papers and responding to auditor requests
  • Identify and implement process improvements to shorten the close timeline and enhance reporting accuracy
  • Assist with ad hoc projects and cross-functional initiatives as needed
  • Lead all aspects of Accounts Payable operations, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and reconciliation
  • Own daily cash operations and bank reconciliations

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or progress toward CPA preferred
  • 4+ years of relevant accounting experience, ideally with a mix of Big 4 public accounting and software/technology company roles
  • Proficiency with NetSuite is required
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and experience supporting SOX controls
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

Nice to have:

  • Experience working with international teams or outsourced partners
  • IPO and audit experience

Compensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, 401k retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Note that benefits are subject to change and may vary based on jurisdiction of employment.

Applied Intuition pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum intended target base salary for new hire salaries for the position. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, interview performance, and the level and scope of the position.
