Position Description: 

The Sr. Software Engineer (BI) serves as a strategic partner in driving data-informed decision-making across the organization. This role is responsible for leading the design, development, and optimization of business intelligence solutions that enable actionable insights. The Sr. Software Engineer (BI) will collaborate with stakeholders to align analytics initiatives with business priorities, mentor team members, and champion best practices in data visualization and accessibility. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to influence in a matrix environment to deliver high-impact analytics solutions.

• Cultivate strong relationships with business partners to align analytics demand with team capacity.
• Lead decision-making processes for significant changes to data analytics tools and workflows.
• Enhance data accessibility across the organization by disseminating analysis and providing training to enable self-service data access.
• Mentor and coach analysts, sharing expertise and fostering professional growth.
• Coach others on best practices in data visualization to ensure deliverables align with Business Intelligence standards.
• Influence and motivate stakeholders in a matrix environment to achieve shared goals.
• Document processes, decisions, and schematics to preserve institutional knowledge and facilitate transparency.
• Lead research, design, and implementation of data models, pipelines, SQL Queries, and Power BI dashboards to address business challenges effectively.
• Provide recommendations on tool selection and workflow enhancements to optimize team efficiency.
• Evaluate project scopes accurately and provide realistic estimates for project timelines and resources.
