MUSC Health – Chester Medical Center is an intimate, 82-bed facility where caregivers take pride in working with close-knit teams, supported by dedicated department leaders, to serve the residents of Chester County. 

We offer emergency care, family medicine, gastroenterology, vascular, imaging, internal medicine, orthopedics, pediatric services, rehabilitation, women’s health, and wound care services.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience administering vascular, minimal pediatric, neuro, regional, and orthopedic anesthesia, as well as anesthesia for outpatient surgery.

  • Graduate of a program approved by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs

  • The minimum education requirement for those hired after March 1, 2019, is a master’s degree, or higher, with the concentration in Nurse Anesthesia.

  • Insurable by the medical malpractice insurer of MUSC for the required limits.

  • Must be recognized as an APRN to be eligible, with current license to practice, or eligibility to obtain practice in the state of South Carolina.

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) require either a certification from an American Health Association (AHA) for Healthcare Providers or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Healthcare Provider.

  • Cases: Urology, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Kidney Transplants, OB with a separate dedicated night team (optional).
