Job Overview:

The Operational Readiness Manager in Operations, Conversions and Integration (OCI) plays a critical role in overseeing the data mapping, testing and integration processes required for successfully converting client accounts and account data into the firm’s systems. This position is responsible for leading a team that ensure the accurate and timely execution of data related activities, working cross-functionally with internal business units, technology teams, and external vendors to drive seamless transitions during financial institution integration into LPL’s ecosphere.  

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team responsible for data management, quality controls, and conversion execution.

  • Ensure client account data is accurately mapped, tested, and implemented in alignment with department policies, controls and regulatory requirements.

  • Develop and maintain procedures, controls and reporting metric to monitor data integrity through the conversion lifecycle.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across business units to define data requirements, priorities, and timelines.

  • Performance management of the team by creating and supporting goals and development plans for each team individual, maintaining high levels of team performance standards, and acting as a change agent for the team in support of the department and LPL goals.

  • Act as the primary escalation point for data related issues, facilitating timely resolutions to minimize disruptions.

  • Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies impacting data conversion processes.

  • Review and sign off on documented process flows current state vs future state for the determination of continuous improvement and next steps.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of related professional experience in financial services in disciplines such as back office/broker dealer operations or trading

  • 5+ years progressive experience managing employees

  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on detail and accuracy as well as inference-making, and analytical pro-active problem-solving and prevention

  • Ability to exercise a risk-based mindset (financial, regulatory, reputational) when presented with opportunities and determining solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Performance management, coaching and development of direct reports/team members experience

  • Experience with clearing/custodial platforms such as BETA, Pershing or National Financial.

  • Advanced Excel and other data analytical skills (Moderate/Advanced proficiency…Vlookups, VBA macros, advanced formulas)

  • Alteryx experience/working knowledge.

  • Lean Six Sigma, encouraged.

  • Industry FINRA licensing, Series 99 preferred or be willing to get the license after employment.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
