Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Labor Ground Maintenance for a contract position to maintain grounds of industrial, commercial, or public property.  The grounds maintenance team member responsible for building and maintaining gardens, HOA properties, property buildings, and other outdoor landscapes. Ensure plant growth, the cleanliness of outdoor facilities and pruning of overgrown hedges. Additionally, the landscaper maintenances repairs and equipment, landscape structures. Hours: 5am to 130pm (weather dependent) Snow event work will begin at 2am and continue until all areas are cleared of snow.

Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

• Cut grass and weeds using either a riding or hand mower.
• Trim hedges and edges around walks, flowerbeds, and wells using hedge trimmers, weed eaters, clippers, and edging tools.
• Hand-pull weeds, rake, and mulch landscapes.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Cultivate, water, and trim lawns.
• Operate power mowers, power edgers, tractors, and other power equipment.
• Remove trash and debris from the property daily.
• Maintain fertilization schedules for trees, shrubs, and lawns.
• Assist in preparing turf and lawn areas, general grounds maintenance, and moving equipment when necessary.
• Operate snow removal equipment to clear roadways and walkways.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma (or GED) one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have experience working in the commercial landscape maintenance industry.
• Must have valid Driver License with an insurable driver's record.
• Must be able to pass a background check to be able to access the base.
