About the role
This is a remote position.
- Design, implement, and execute data migration processes between Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security throughout the migration lifecycle.
- Design and maintain database schemas, tables, and stored procedures to support application requirements.
- Optimize database performance, ensuring low latency and high availability for digital banking operations.
- Analyze and resolve database performance issues, including tuning queries and indexing.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth integration of database functionalities with the banking application.
- Maintain and support database systems, resolving issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Develop and implement best practices for database security and compliance.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA, and DevOps, to align database strategies with project goals.
- Document database architecture, migration strategies, and processes for internal reference and audits.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in database design and administration, focusing on PostgreSQL and Oracle DB.
- Proven expertise in data migration
- Experience in digital banking is a plus
