SAP Senior Test Engineer

The Senior SAP Test Engineer will be responsible for the overall quality of a S/4HANA Public Cloud.  Testing support will require working with functional engineers to understand unit tests they executed in DEV for the configuration and development sprints for the SAP Fit to Standard (FTS) and the client approved Digital Discovery Assessment (DDA) required for Public Cloud.

SAP test scenario understanding will include the prioritization and creation of test cases for integrations with Mulesoft and BTP along with high level SAP business processes for OTC, R2R, P2P, ATP, MBC, COPA, QM, IM TM, Security, Data Migration and SAP Reporting/Analytics.   

The Senior SAP Test Engineer will execute the test cases in:

• DEV (SIT1)
• Test Execution (SIT2)
• Assist the Business User Testing (UAT)
• Tricentis Load Testing
• E2E ‘Day of the Life’ tests (Test Environment)
• Upon cutover of the project, the Senior SAP Test Engineer will assist the Business with Production Validation and Hyper Care testing. 

The scope of the role includes comprehensive understanding of the fast-paced requirements for SAP S4/HANA Public Cloud implementations.  Quality requirements includes test planning and the execution of testing cases using both manual processes and automated tools. Automated tools are supplied by Tricentis so knowledge of their test suite is required. 

Test cases and defect tracking will be entered into JIRA to provide tracking and reporting the quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with functional consultants and developers to understand FTS and DDA requirements.
• Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios tailored to SAP modules.
• Identify important areas for automation of regression tests.
• Design, build and maintain automation scripts using Tricentis, Tosca and qTest.
• Ensure reusability and scalability of test scripts across various SAP modules (listed above).
• Experience with SAP S/4 HANA Public Cloud is highly desirable.
• Execute automated test scripts for Functional, Integration and Regression Testing.
• Work with Data Migration Engineer to identify test data requirements.
• Coordinate and schedule testing phases with the Fujitsu and SAP Public Cloud Project Managers.
• Validate test results and identify discrepancies or defects in SAP functionalities.
• Work closely with the functional and development teams to resolve issues and verify fixes.
• With the use of JIRA, assist the JIRA admin with the generation of JIRA dashboards that generate test execution reports and provide real-time testing status updates.
• Ensure adherence to QA best practices, testing standards, and guidelines.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in automation testing tools and methodologies.
• Provide recommendations for improving the overall quality and efficiency of the testing process.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of working experience in testing and automation for SAP S4/HANA Public Cloud.
• 10+ years of working experience in testing and solution design, development, implementation of Automation testing in SAP S4/HANA (On Prem or Private Cloud)
• 10+ years of working experience as an SAP Test Engineer, SAP QA Engineer or SAP Systems Analyst.
• Strong knowledge of SAP modules (SD, MM, FICO, QM, IM, TM, BPT, MBC, Security, MDG, SAP Reporting)
• Proficient in SAP/Fiori, JIRA, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Excel, MS-Windows and Tricentis automated tool suite.
