Pharmacy Tech III FT Rotating

Up to $5,000 Sign-on Bonus Based on Eligibility

Pharmacy Tech III Full Time Rotating Position Summary of Responsibilities:

• Staff pharmacists monitor patient drug therapies including choice of drug, drug dosage, frequency, avoiding drug interactions, duplications, and drug allergies.  
• Provide drug information to physicians and nurses, dose drugs under protocol, and fill orders for oral and injectable medications.

THE PHARMACY TECH III FULL TIME ROTATING CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.

Education Required: High School Graduate or equivalent
Experience Preferred: Hospital Experience
Certifications Required: Registered Pharmacy Technician license or Pharmacy Technician certification, as required by State law; or, must obtain within one year.

This individual’s responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Accurately fill and label medication orders with correct strength, dosage form, and quantity in a timely manner. Accurately stock automated dispensing cabinets (ADCs) in a timely manner. Fill/refill emergency crash carts, boxes, and kits timely and accurately. Re-package and label oral medications/extemporaneous preparations and maintain appropriate records.

Education:

Required: High school graduate or equivalent

Experience:

Required: 3 years of hospital experience

Certifications:

Required: Registered Pharmacy Technician license or Pharmacy Technician certification, as required by state law. Accredited training in sterile products preparation.

Physical Demands:

Lift/position up to 50 lbs. Push/pull up to 50 lbs. of force. Frequent standing and walking. Frequent reaching, stooping, and bending. Manual dexterity, mobility, touch, auditory to perform all the related duties of the position.
