Assoc Director, Corporate Affairs
What you will do
Let’s do this! Let’s change the world! In this vital role the Associate Director, Events, will lead the strategic planning and delivery of Amgen’s corporate-level events, ensuring they are impactful, innovative, and aligned with corporate objectives. This role will oversee internal and external events, including leadership meetings, all-employee town halls, and special initiatives, to foster connection, alignment, and engagement across Amgen’s workforce and stakeholders. The Associate Director will manage event operations, logistics, and creative elements, ensuring excellence in delivery. Specifically, this individual will lead bi-annual meetings of Amgen’s Officers, annual meetings of Executive Directors and Officers, as well as select corporate sponsorships.
What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 3 years of corporate communications experience
Or
Master’s degree and 7 years of corporate communications experience
Or
Bachelor’s degree and 9 years of corporate communications experience
Or
Associate’s degree and 12 years of corporate communications experience
Or
High school diploma / GED and 14 years of corporate communications experience
In addition to meeting at least one of the above requirements, you must have a minimum of 3 years experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation or resources. Your managerial experience may run concurrently with the required technical experience referenced above
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in public relations, communications, journalism or related field
Experience working in-house or within a creative agency
Hands on experience producing live events, including managing logistical teams and creative content
Strategic and creative thinker
Ability to interact with all levels of management and manage staff and vendors
Excellent interpersonal skills; enthusiastic, team player and self-starter
Strong organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities under tight deadlines.
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
