An exciting AVP, Technical Project Manager position has recently opened in the Investments, Hedging & Sustainability team supporting technology functions. They will have strong analytic and customer-facing skills to manage systems implementation projects with our internal customers and business partners.
This position provides leadership of complex enterprise wide, cross-functional initiatives, leading different projects/programs including application development, systems integration, operational efficiency improvements, and business continuity testing. They will manage several projects in-parallel and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment. They will manage and drive projects from inception through completion and will work closely with engineers, technical SMEs, managers, and business partners.

- Managing projects using Agile methodologies, sequencing resources / deliverables internally for technology-related projects that involve coordinating cross-functional resources from investments, finance, actuarial, quant dev, ops and reporting.
- Planning and coordinating release schedule and required resources for application, systems, and infrastructure updates. Performing release management in compliance with controls.
- Preparing and expertly communicating project status and information in formal briefings, presentation slides and reports to senior management team, and manages update meetings.
- Managing change management artifacts and processes in accordance with SOX and internal audit controls and demonstrating process compliance to auditors.
- Managing business critical recurring annual projects including disaster recovery testing.
- Hands-on management of detailed project activities when required; facilitating questions and escalations from workstream teams; identifying, assessing, mitigating, and communicating project risks and issues; managing any change control of scope.
- Partnering with business teams, IT, other project managers to plan and manage project schedule, dependencies, and milestones in accordance with external processes.

Must Haves:
- 7+ years of project management, management consulting, transformation project management or complex software development environment within insurance or finance
- Demonstrated ability to deliver large and complex projects from ideation to implementation working in a diverse and matrixed environment.
- Superior presentation skills and experience leading meetings, maintaining status reports.
- Strong time management, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand and articulate the background, scope, goals and objectives of a project to a wide range of stakeholders (incl. sr. management, business users and technical implementors).
- Ability to proactively create clarity where ambiguity exits by utilizing relationships.
- Highly dependable in supporting management and influencing peers in changes or deliverables.
- Ability to work with others in a team environment, with strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative style, familiarity tools like Teams, SharePoint, and PowerPoint is essential.
- Excellent organizational and communications skills, with strategic thinking, and a strong attention to detail
Education
- 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) (Minimum Required)
- 7+ Years experience in project management and/or leading agile project teams that directly aligns to the specific responsibilities of this role.
- Professional Project Management Certification (PMP, CSM, SAFe etc.) from accredited
Nice to haves:
- Knowledge of annuities, life insurance products, stock markets, derivatives, asset types, and other financial concepts.
- Experience with Python, AWS services, microservice architecture project
