Summary: The R&D Product Development & Support Technician III works with moderate supervision to develop solutions to problems arising in manufacturing, product testing, and/or product development. Performs most job-related skills at the intermediate competency level.

Responsibilities:

  • Make golf ball components and/or golf balls either in Fairhaven or the ball plants.
  • Initiates experiments and/or product development trials and provides data-supported feedback.
  • Demonstrates some capability to identify potential areas of improvement in product and process development via discussions with supervisor.
  • Demonstrates ability to document detailed experiments and associated data.
  • Undertakes some preventative maintenance, and calibration of relevant equipment.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; dedication to continuous learning preferred, but not required.
  • 2-3 years of experience with testing and development. 
  • May display basic competency in advanced relevant software (i.e. SolidWorks, AutoCAD, MiniTab, etc.). 
  • Must possess basic mechanical competency.
  • Must not be adversely affected by materials in a golf ball manufacturing environment. 
  • Must be able to lift 45 pounds and have the physical stamina necessary to stand at workstations for long periods of time as required to complete assignments.
  •  Must have good or corrected eyesight. 
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license. 
  • Must be able to travel on company business as necessary, occasionally on short notice. 
  • Must pass all Health Services testing requirements for this position.
  • May display basic competency in advanced relevant software (i.e. SolidWorks, AutoCAD, MiniTab, etc.). 
  • Must possess basic mechanical competency.
