Sr. Program Scheduler

Leidos is seeking a Sr. Program Scheduler to join our EVM and Scheduling Center of Excellence supporting the Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) Global Services Division. As a core member of the EVM COE, you will be responsible for all aspects of creating and maintaining a resource loaded Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) schedule to provide the basis for the time phased budget and estimate to complete cost data for this project. You will construct and maintain the MS Project plan daily, run reports, and generate various views. In depth IMS Project skills will be required to facilitate meetings and work one-on-one to ascertain project activities, resources, requirements, predecessors, successors, impacts, milestones, etc.
This role reports through the Sector Scheduling Manager the larger enterprise-wide Leidos Corporate Earned Value Management (EVM) Center of Excellence (COE). The Leidos Corporate EVM COE is a team leading and executing the core responsibilities of scheduling, planning, EVMS, the associated infrastructure and tools, implementations, training and surveillance for Leidos.

Leidos Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) Business Area is the cornerstone of Leidos’ comprehensive suite of fully-integrated security detection and automation solutions for aviation, ports and borders, and critical infrastructure customers around the world. Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for applying scheduling theory to develop and maintain a resource loaded Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) schedule using best practices as in the Planning and Scheduling Excellence Guide (PASEG).
- Implement program scheduling business rhythms, developing baseline schedules and associated artifacts to meet contractual/project requirements, and monitoring, analyzing, and reporting performance against baseline schedules to ensure that contractual, cost and schedule
- Strong communications skills with the ability to work with the functional areas to identify and maintain all schedule tasks and dependencies.
- In conjunction with the Project Manager, and with input from the cross-functional team, generate, publish and maintain an accurate a Master Schedule, using MS Project and Project Web App (PWA), showing the tasks and resources required to deliver on-time, per customer requirements and milestones
- Work closely with multiple industry and government performers to develop detailed schedules, keep these schedules current and seamlessly integrated into the Master Schedule.
- Develop and maintain linkages, dependencies and inter-dependencies with related projects.
- Ensure internal and external dependencies are documented and tracked for risk management.
- Identify major milestones, decision points, project life-cycle and other project events.
- Identify critical path and task dependencies.
- Set and maintain the baseline schedule.
- Perform ‘what if’ scenarios within the schedule.
- Develop schedule version control processes.
- Generate schedule reports based on planned vs actual dates.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of program scheduling and program management experience.
- Advanced expertise using Microsoft Project and Project Web App.
- Strong working knowledge of scheduling theory and related best-practices (e.g., PASEG)
- Experience with Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) architecture (e.g., WBS or IMP based)
- Proven working knowledge of Critical Path, Baseline Change Control, and IMS configuration management.
- Ability to work independently with overall responsibility for the Master Schedule.
- Proven ability to work well within a team/collaborative environment.
- US citizenship is required and able to obtain Public Trust clearance or higher
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using tools like Microsoft Project Web App (PWA), Structured Solutions Inc. (SSI) Tools for Microsoft Project, and Monte Carlo Analysis tools.
