We are seeking an Expert Data Architect to join our Data, Insights, and Experiences team. In this role you will drive the strategic direction of our data infrastructure, ensuring that our systems are designed and optimised to handle complex data challenges efficiently. Your expertise will be pivotal in guiding the development of scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions that empower decision-making across our organisation. Collaborating closely with stakeholders such as project managers, data analysts, data engineers, and senior leadership, you will champion data architecture that aligns with our business objectives and enables us to extract maximum value from our data assets. You will lead the design and implementation of data models, databases, and data pipelines, leveraging your expertise to ensure data integrity, reliability, and accessibility. Daily Responsibilities: 

• Design, architect, and manage complex data sets to support analytical needs across multiple teams within the organisation.
• Collaborate with data analysts, data engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and define data architecture solutions that meet business objectives.
• Implement best practices and standards for data governance, data quality, and data security to maintain the integrity and reliability of our data assets.
• Utilise software engineering principles to optimise data processes, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance data modelling techniques.
• Act as a technical mentor and advisor to analysts and non-technical stakeholders, providing guidance on data consumption tools, standards, and best practices.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in data architecture and analytics, and evaluate their potential impact on our data infrastructure and processes.
• Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, optimization, and innovation to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our data architecture initiatives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data architecture, engineering, or related fields.
• Proven track record of successfully architecting and implementing data solutions utilising cloud-based data platforms (ideally GCP).
• Proficiency in data modelling tools and techniques, with experience designing and implementing data models and schemas for data warehouses, data lakes, and other data systems
• Proficiency in translating business requirements into scalable and efficient data architecture designs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and drive alignment on data architecture strategies and priorities.
• Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Other relevant qualifications:

• In-depth understanding of emerging data needs resulting from AI adoption within the software sector, including experience integrating AI and machine learning (ML) technologies into data architecture solutions.
• Experience leading and driving change initiatives within various teams, including the ability to influence stakeholders and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Experience in the media/entertainment/gaming industry.

Working mode

Office-First: working primarily from the Warsaw studio for a minimum of 10 days per month.
