Summary

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing sales support and customer service.   Areas of responsibility will include all aspects of sales and service including entering and editing orders, expediting orders, price verification, and assisting sales representatives as needed.  The role may prepare and print shipping tags or labels.  Interact with customer and internal associates in reference to customer shipments.   This job may assume other administrative and clerical responsibilities as needed.

Responsibilities 

•    Provide superior customer service skills in all interactions with customer base (distributors, dealers, contractors, truck drivers)
•    Answer any questions the customer may have about available products and services.
•    Maintain thorough knowledge of product and service offerings in order to accurately answer all questions and effectively recommend correct offerings. 
•    Send daily reports to customers. 
•    Assist sales team with purchase orders.
•    Manage customer orders via E-Commerce and inform customers of their order status.
•    Responds to electronic, email, phone requests and/or fax requests from customers and internal EP Henry associates/co-workers.
•    Supports field sales organization as needed.
•    Enters orders into Lawson M5 System.
•    Prepares and prints shipping tags/labels and shipping invoices as needed.
•    Responds to either Intercompany or customer requests to transfer materials. 
•    Addresses issues that may arise related to customer service as needed.
•    Performs other administrative/clerical duties as required.

 

Requirements / Education / Experience

•    High School Diploma or GED 
•    At least 1 year of related experience in a distribution, warehouse, or manufacturing environment
•    Familiarity with Lawson M5 or similar order entry/warehouse/inventory system applications
•    Good with basic math
•    Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite
•    Ability to multi task
•    Ability to perform clerical duties
•    Ability to speak effectively, clearly and professionally.
•    Excellent customer service skills
•    Associates Degree preferred
•    Ability to work overtime as needed.
•    Previous Hardscaping Industry/product knowledge is a plus

Physical Requirements
 
•    Ability to sit for extended periods of time
•    Ability to perform repetitive motions of the wrist, hands and fingers to use a PC and keyboard
•    Bending and some lifting
•    Extensive writing
•    Extensive phone and radio use
•    Tasks can be very repetitive.
•    Slight lifting of ship tickets and overnight packages
