JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Director of Continuous Improvement will drive the roll-out of Operation Excellence across Trivium’s plants throughout F&S North America and Canada, while collaborating closely with the functional leaders and Plant Managers to realize the operational value capture. This role will influence and guide Operational Leaders across different functions through one of the key pillars of Trivium’s transformation program. The Senior Director is involved in strategic initiatives such as new product technologies, operations, performance management (e.g., manufacturing KPIs), and plant network optimization projects.

 

JOB DUTIES

  • Leads lean operations in the F&S NA division, Network Optimization’ which entails plant footprint optimization (Divestments, volume transfers and closing, downsizing, repurposing), and Business Unit overarching maintenance project – Implementation of best practices regarding planning and execution of maintenance.
  • Supports the BU Managers and the Senior Vice President while collaborating with external operations experts who support the OpEx roll-out. 
  • Acts as trusted sparring partner of the F&S NA Leadership and the Plant Managers to ensure that they understand and own what they commit as part of the OpEx transformation.
  • Leads the continuous improvement team of CI managers, Engineering, and other experts.
  • Responsible for the implementation of group-wide harmonized operations, TBS, quality, service delivery and manufacturing KPIs, automated reporting and complementary performance dialogues.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive continuous improvement strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Identify areas for improvement within operational processes, systems, and workflows to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity.
  • Lead change management by fostering a culture of continuous improvement, promoting employee engagement, driving adoption of and training plant teams in new practices
  • Responsible for the implementation of group-wide harmonized operations, quality, service delivery and manufacturing KPIs, automated reporting and complementary performance dialogues.
  • Perform all other job duties as assigned. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree, Masters’ degree is a plus.
  •  A minimum of 7 year’s work experience in this capacity.
  •  Seasoned operations leader with extensive production, supply chain and maintenance experience.  In-depth knowledge and experience of lean operations required.
  •  Analytical strength, track record and references for driving large scale shop floor transformations – project management, implementation controlling, experience with ‘Wave’ a plus, results driven.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Skilled in organizational development
