Hitachi Rail have a superb opportunity to join our senior leadership team, working with our fantastic colleagues across the globe as our Global Senior Director of Internal Communications. We are seeking an innovate, forward thinking individual who will help us shape the way we engage and communicate with our Hitachi Rail colleagues, resulting in effective two-way communications.

As the Global Senior Director of Internal Communications, it will be within your scope to create global internal communications strategies, plans and content that informs, connects and engages Hitachi Rail colleagues with delivery of the Hitachi Rail Group Mid Term Management Plan and Strategy.

This role will have a flexible working location, but you would be required to travel nationally, internationally, and offer presence at our Ludgate Hill office regularly.

About you…

Applicants should be able to demonstrate all of the essential requirements listed below:

Essential

  • Solid experience of internal communications strategy and best-practice channel development, planning and delivery for a variety of colleague groups (employees, managers and leaders).

  • High-performing management and development of communications teams based in multiple regions from diverse backgrounds.

  • Gravitas to instill trust, confidence and respect from senior management, management communities and partnering stakeholders.

  • Experience of leading multiple concurrent change communications campaigns.

  • Budgeting and supplier management experience in a global matrix organisation.

  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills in English.

  • Client-focused, motivated, proactive, forward-thinking, organised and diplomatic personality.

  • Excellent stakeholder relationship skills, across multiple matrix organisations, regions and countries.

  • Ability to travel for work when required in line with the responsibilities of the role.

Desirable

  • Bilingualism in French, German, Italian or Japanese would be a bonus.
