Sony Honda Mobility of America, situated in Culver City, California, was established in March 2023, where our dedicated team is working on introducing the electric vehicle, AFEELA, to the market. Position Summary

Sony Honda Mobility of America (SHMA) is seeking a passionate, customer-centric EV Sales & Customer Engagement Specialist to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the customer journey for AFEELA—our next-generation electric vehicle brand developed through the combined innovation of Sony and the automotive legacy of Honda.

Based initially at our Culver City location (with a transition to our Southern California Delivery Center in Torrance in Fall 2025), you’ll play a key role in delivering a seamless, premium direct-to-consumer (D2C) experience. You’ll serve as a trusted guide, supporting customers through every step of the purchase process—from vehicle selection to final delivery and onboarding—ensuring every interaction reflects our commitment to high-tech mobility and exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective AFEELA customers, guiding them through the full D2C sales journey—from initial inquiry through final delivery.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Sales, Delivery, Order Ops) to ensure all documents and processes for sales, finance, registration, and delivery are complete and accurate.
  • Deliver tailored, high-touch customer experiences that embody SHMA’s values and AFEELA’s premium EV brand identity.
  • Manage delivery logistics, including home delivery scheduling and on-site handoffs, ensuring professional, timely, and memorable experiences.
  • Share expert knowledge of AFEELA product features, technology, charging options, and ownership benefits to build customer confidence and excitement.
  • Proactively monitor vehicle order status and communicate updates via phone, email, or the AFEELA App.
  • Support accurate DMV title and registration paperwork, working closely with the Title Clerk to meet legal requirements.
  • Ensure full payment collection and reconciliation for vehicle transactions, resolving any discrepancies as needed.
  • Assist in new owner onboarding, including orientation to vehicle features, digital tools, and charging infrastructure.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, capture customer feedback, and flag delivery or service concerns to relevant teams.
  • Act as a brand ambassador at events and customer touchpoints, reinforcing AFEELA’s mission to transform the mobility experience.

Required Qualifications for Position

  • 4+ years of experience in automotive customer engagement, sales, or delivery operations, ideally in an EV or D2C environment.
  • Hands-on experience in vehicle purchase coordination, customer-facing retail, or dealership operations.
  • Strong understanding of financing, registration, and DMV documentation processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task under tight timelines.
  • Tech-savvy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM tools, and digital workflows.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently while collaborating cross-functionally.
  • Availability to work on-site and support live customer interactions and vehicle deliveries.

Preferred Qualifications for Position:

  • Experience in an EV startup, OEM mobility company, or digital-first automotive sales setting.
  • Familiarity with charging networks, EV battery systems, and delivery best practices.
  • Exposure to digital retail platforms, e-signature tools, and app-based customer communications.
  • Bilingual in Spanish or Japanese is a plus.
