POSITION TYPE: 10-month
START DATE: August 1, 2024
COMPENSATION: $50,634 - $59,494, Home Office Grade 3

THE OPPORTUNITY
YES Prep needs a dynamic Speech Language Pathologist Assistant, with a diverse set of experiences, to make our mission a reality. To put it simply, you will play an integral role in providing speech and language services to eligible students, under the direction of a Speech-Language Pathologist.
THE ROLE
When you join the YES Prep team, some of the exciting work and responsibilities will include:
- Providing superior direct and indirect services to students with a speech impairment to facilitate success in the least restrictive environment
- Assisting in the planning and provision of individual speech therapy goals, objectives and therapeutic activities contained within the student’s Individual Education Plan (IEP), and follow documented treatment plans/protocols developed by the speech-language pathologist
- Consistently documenting student performance through record keeping (e.g. tallying data, documenting levels of performance)
- Compiling, maintaining and filing therapy records and other required documents
- Assisting with clerical duties such as preparing materials and scheduling services
- Collaborating with classroom teachers to plan and implement classroom-based activities to improve oral and written language skills of students
- Supporting the speech-language pathologist in providing in-service trainings for special education staff and other personnel within the district
- Attending staff development in-services and workshops to enhance professional skills
- Additional duties as assigned
