The Marketplace division is continuing to rapidly scale, and we are looking for an Operations Manager to establish our first warehouse facility in Kansas City, it will serve as the hub for our operations. As we embark on this exciting journey, we are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Operations Manager to spearhead all warehouse functions and lay the foundation for our future success.

What will I be doing?
- Oversee and manage all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfilment, shipping, and returns processing.
- Develop and implement efficient processes and procedures to optimize warehouse operations, maximize productivity, and ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all warehouse-related activities, coordinating with internal teams, external partners, and vendors as needed.
- Lead by example and be hands-on in day-to-day warehouse activities, including receiving shipments, picking and packing orders, and managing inventory levels.
- Establish and maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, inventory audits, and reconciliation processes.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track warehouse performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Hire, train, and develop a team of warehouse associates as the business grows, providing coaching, feedback, and support to ensure success.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices to maintain a safe working environment for all warehouse employees.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including logistics, customer service, and sales, to coordinate activities and support business objectives.
What do I need?
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field desirable.
- 3+ years of experience in warehouse management or operations management, preferably in e-commerce, retail, or logistics industries.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management principles, and best practices.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven leadership abilities, with the confidence to lead and motivate a team and the humility to lead by example.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software applications.
