Field Applications Specialist - Bioreactor Technologies - Remote - Boston/New England Area

This is a remote/field-based position out of the Boston, MA area and will assist with customers locally and be responsible for customers in the New England (CT, MA, ME, NH, RI, VT) and New York areas. Travel for this position may be up to 50% at times, based on customer need, and some international travel may be required.
What you will accomplish together with us
- Collaborate with the account management team for customer discussions on existing products through product presentations, demonstrations, demos and trials, and application studies
- Collaborate with account management in the customer process, URS analysis, and technical response, and lead customer evaluations to help position products in line with the application requirements. Strategize with assigned Account Managers to generate value-adding activities according to customer and business needs.
- Provide technical qualification of sales opportunities to ensure appropriate positioning of technology within the customer application
- Provide technical support proactively, answer inquiries and resolve implementation problems in the field for customers
- Support new products through close collaboration with beta site testing, product demonstrations/discussions, and information gathering
- Support Quality Department in the quality complaint process by troubleshooting and analyzing customers' processes for better investigation and resolution
- Ensure training of customers on new technologies and support initial start-up operations
- Support regional marketing initiatives
- Be responsible for the assigned product line to support sales target achievement in the defined territory
- Support the development of strong relationships with accounts within the assigned sales territory
- Report on competitors' product implementation & presence within the territory by feedback to the Application Services and Product Management Team
- Required interface with product/project/division management with the willingness and ability to interact at various levels (sales, technical, customers)
- Ability to lift 35+ pounds
What will convince us:
- Bachelor's degree in biological/life sciences and/or engineering
- 2+ Years biopharmaceutical industry experience in Upstream Bioprocess development and/or MSAT
- Product and application expertise in bioreactors and supporting technologies, multi-parallel bioreactors (Ambr), stir tank bioreactor platforms, and hands-on experience for key applications regarding USP, including bioreactor scale-up and scale-down
- Multi-task and prioritize activities accordingly
- Self-motivated; team player
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
