The Electrical Preconstruction Manager will be responsible for constructability review of electrical design and pre-construction coordination of electrical components for utility scale renewable energy projects.Remote and Hybrid opportunities available.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Electrical System Constructability Coordination
Collaborate with SOLV Engineering, Estimating, Pre-Construction Project Management, Field Operations, and Field Installation teams, along with the electrical, structural, and civil engineers of record, to optimize electrical and structural project designs for utility-scale solar projects.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and contractual project requirements.
Coordinate with engineers and drafters to develop detailed installation drawings for field installation applications.
Bill of Material
Generate accurate Bill of Material (BOM) and material take-offs for electrical components, ensuring project specifications, schedules, and budgets are met.
Coordinate with the SOLV Procurement team to ensure material RFQs are prepared and issued in alignment with project schedules.
Assist with preparation and issuance of material submittals for EEOR and Project Owner review.
Provide value engineering suggestions for alternative products and solutions that can meet the project requirements while reducing costs.
QA/QC
Know and understand all project electrical design requirements (SOLV requirements, Project Owner requirements, Contract requirements, and AHJ requirements).
Perform quality control checks to verify that designs and installation drawings comply with project requirements as well as company standards for safety, reliability, and efficiency.
Collaboration and Communication
Work closely with cross-function teams including internal and external engineers, estimators, project managers, pre-construction project managers, procurement specialists, and field operations teams to provide technical support and resolve design-related issues.
Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, Independent Engineers (IEs), vendors, and other stakeholders to address design inquires and ensure project success.
Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:
Minimum (2) Years of in-field experience installing Utility Scale Solar preferred
Proficient in BlueBeam
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Working knowledge of applicable NEC requirements
Ability to read and understand electrical plans
Detailed oriented
Strong work ethic and ability to work autonomously
Effective organizational skills
High aptitude for problem solving and critical thinking
Strong sense of urgency
