DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
The ideal candidate will support the Cold Rolling Mill automated laser welders by analyzing, troubleshooting, recommending, and overseeing repairs and improvements of all electro-mechanical systems to meet the business goals of AM/NS Calvert.
The Basics:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience with maintenance in an industrial environment, preferably in the steel industry
- Understanding of standard electrical engineering principles and practices, drawings, and fine tolerances
- Competency or ability to learn PLC programming platforms with use of ladder logic, function block, and statement list logic
- Competency or ability to learn power distribution systems, motors drives, sensors, actuator systems, and communication protocols
- Competency or ability to learn hydraulic, mechanical drive systems, and alignments
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint)
The Extras:
- Knowledge of industrial C02 laser welding systems and optics
- Knowledge of process automation applications
- Knowledge of hydraulics, power transmission, and complex machine alignments
- Knowledge of SAP or other CMMS systems
- Knowledge of IBA, or similar process trending software
- Demonstrated experie
