National Tax Technology Trainee

Job Summary:

The National Tax Technology Trainee will support BDO’s digital transformation efforts to optimize internal tax processes, tools and technologies. This role will collaborate with various teams to help drive and enhance firm-wide tax process standardization and effective use of technology tools to support the tax practice.  In addition, this role works side-by-side with more experienced team members who can provide direction, coaching and learning opportunities.

 

Job Duties:

• Supports Digital Transformation & Innovation efforts
• Drafts content for internal communication purposes related to our tax vision
• Collaborates with others to assist with tax process improvements and training related to tax process and technology best practices
• Reports on the status of multiple transformation projects currently in flight with guidance
• Supports the execution of project plans and specific project tasks with guidance
• Supports planning for team working sessions
• Assists with reporting that includes gathering project status updates
• Other projects, assignments and duties as required

 

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Education:

• Pursuing a high school diploma with plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree, required
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Communication, Marketing, Business or other relevant field, preferred

Experience:

• Prior work experience, preferred
• Leadership experienced, preferred

Software:

• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, required
