Day Shift Material Controller

Description

Basic Function: Material Controllers will work with the physical receipt, inspections, storage, delivery and movement of materials.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Picks material according to work order requirements (MFG BOM).
2. Organization of the storage of materials within the given work area (warehouse), following safety and handling procedures. Using hand tools (pallet jack), fork truck, or wave picker
3. Cycle counting and reconciliation of inventory issues
4. Part number identification and labeling
5. Row, rack, bin labeling 
6. Responsible to stock line with production materials (feeder line) and line stock items
7. Working with buyers/planners, responsible to manage Kanbans/VMI programs within the work area
8. Working with the production line, ensure NCM and scrap materials are properly identified, removed from the production floor and properly transacted in ERP system
9. Responsible to follow all departmental SOP's
10. Issues or distributes materials following GMP’s, making sure proper transactions and corrections are done in the ERP system.  
11. Works directly with planning to correct WO BOMS as needed.  
12. Communicates any inventory issues to the proper departments.
13. Moves materials to stock and/or FIFO lanes as required utilizing material handling equipment
14. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications and Required Skills:

• A minimum of 3-5 experience with above knowledge base to perform at a fully functioning level of proficiency.
• Basic knowledge of supply chain principles.
• Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must have good organization skills.
• Able to work in fast paced environment
• Able to implement change.
• Proficient in managing multiple tasks as the same time.
