Job Description Summary
Join GE Vernova's Gas Power Engineering Technical Learning Office and lead the enterprise strategy, development, and advancement of technical depth assessment and capability development across Gas Power Engineering, with expanding influence and impact across GE Vernova's broader engineering portfolio. As the Technical Learning Program Leader, you will own the creation, strategic direction, and enterprise governance of the Technical Development Assessment (TDA) framework; defining how technical depth is assessed, benchmarked, and strengthened at scale across the organization and informing how GE Vernova approaches engineering capability at the business segment level.In this role, you will serve as a strategic partner to the Gas Power Engineering Executive Leadership Team, the Gas Power Leadership Team, and the GE Vernova Corporate Leadership Team, shaping enterprise-wide approaches to technical depth assessment that directly support engineering excellence, workforce capability planning, long-term business readiness, and GE Vernova's Engineer 2030 vision. You will translate capability insights into enterprise development actions, technical learning priorities, and strategic recommendations that strengthen critical engineering capability across the organization.
You will also own the strategy for engineering onboarding and productivity ensuring new engineers are equipped to contribute effectively and reach full productivity faster through structured learning pathways tied to our five core learning objectives. You will design, develop, and deliver targeted training programs that close identified skill gaps and accelerate technical capability aligned to business-critical needs.
This position requires a strategic leader who can combine deep technical credibility, structured program leadership, executive-level partnership, and the ability to set direction across a complex, matrixed organization. The role demands someone who can architect scalable assessment and development frameworks with enterprise relevance, influence at the highest levels of the organization, and connect technical capability insights to measurable business outcomes at Gas Power Engineering and GE Vernova Corporate level.
Job Description
Technical Development Assessment (TDA) Strategy & Enterprise Framework Owner
- Own the end-to-end development, creation, and strategic direction of the Technical Development Assessment (TDA) for Gas Power Engineering, while setting the standard and shaping the enterprise-wide GE Vernova approach to technical depth assessment.
- Define the vision, methodology, framework, governance model, and operating cadence for how technical depth is assessed, benchmarked, and used to inform capability-building priorities across the business.
- Architect a credible, rigorous, and scalable TDA approach that establishes consistency across GE Vernova's engineering organizations while allowing flexibility for different engineering disciplines and business contexts.
- Position TDA as a strategic enterprise capability tool, not merely an assessment process, that directly informs workforce development investment, technical growth strategy, succession planning, and organizational readiness at the Business Unit and enterprise level.
Executive & Enterprise Leadership Partnership
- Serve as a primary strategic partner to the Gas Power Engineering Executive Leadership Team, Gas Power Leadership Team, and GE Vernova Corporate Leadership Team on all matters related to technical depth assessment, engineering capability development, and workforce readiness.
- Engage senior and executive leadership to understand strategic priorities, emerging capability needs, and organizational risks, translating those inputs into a clear TDA roadmap, development priorities, and enterprise-level recommendations.
- Prepare and deliver executive-level updates, findings, and strategic recommendations that drive alignment on capability priorities, technical development focus areas, and investment decisions needed to strengthen workforce readiness across the enterprise.
- Represent the Technical Learning Office in cross-functional and cross-business forums, contributing to enterprise-level decisions on engineering talent strategy and capability planning.
Onboarding & Productivity Strategy Owner
- Own the strategy for engineering onboarding and productivity, defining how new engineers are integrated, developed, and accelerated to full contribution within Gas Power Engineering.
