We support customers throughout the Department of Defense and U.S. Government in building innovative new tools to deliver unique, world-class data exploitation capabilities.

SciTec is seeking a Project Manager for an agile software development program. This is a unique opportunity to join a small business delivering core capabilities for National defense to support our programs delivering Next-Generation Missile Warning software. You will work within a fast-paced team delivering end-to-end software processing of Overhead Persistent InfraRed (OPIR) sensor data for Missile Warning, Missile Defense, Battlespace Awareness, and Technical Intelligence. SciTec seeks a candidate who will thrive in an environment where they can solve challenging engineering problems in support of critical national security objectives. The Project Manager is responsible for project cost, schedule, and technical performance.

Responsibilities

  • Supports program management and engineering team with development of program planning strategies, technical cost estimates, risk management, preparation of data, status updates and preparation of presentations for internal/external customer reviews.
  • Provides inputs for estimates to complete, reviews schedules, and coordinates with team leads and program management office, as applicable.
  • Deciphers technical contractual requirements, allocating to the appropriate engineering teams.
  • Manages and addresses the technical Supplier Data Requirements List (SDRL) and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) items and other applicable contract deliverables.
  • Assesses project technical risks and provides mitigation plans.
  • Coordinates the review, presentation and release of design documentation to support requirements compliance for Technical Interchange Meetings, Preliminary/Critical Design Reviews.
  • Coordinates with the Program Manager and team leads to communicate program impediments or issues / delays in completing tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in the physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or business
  • Industry experience with time managing Government Technical Programs
  • Strong team-building, time-management, and conflict-resolution abilities
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written communication, briefing, and presentation skills
  • Ability to interact, brief and develop positive relationships with both customer and company senior leadership
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, marketing knowledge, and literacy in the program management disciplines
  • Detail oriented
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Candidates who have one or more of the following skills will be preferred

  • Overhead Persistent InfraRed (OPIR) ground processing domain knowledge
  • An advanced degree in the physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer science
  • Experience with Agile principals (e.g., Scrum, SAFe, or Kanban, etc.)
  • Knowledge of EVMS
  • Business Development experience
  • Active DoD Final SECRET clearance or higher

The pay range for this position is $93,000 - $142,000 / year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills. This is not a guarantee of compensation.
