The Company enhances its roster of brands by licensing trademarks from third parties, including: Nike® for swimwear, and Callaway®, PGA TOUR®, and Jack Nicklaus® for golf apparel.</p></div><p><strong>SUMMARY: </strong></p> <p><br>Perry Ellis is seeking an Assistant Men's Designer to join the New York Design team in the woven shirt category. The Assistant Men's Designer will be responsible for assisting all parts of the design process, including preparation of technical packages and seasonal presentation boards, understanding of PDM process, email correspondence, etc.</p> <p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Assist recoloring prints and patterns.</li> <li>Assist with basic specification of product.</li> <li>Make revisions to sketches and design packages as needed.</li> <li>Market and trend research.</li> <li>Responsible for maintaining design folders for reference.</li> <li>Responsible for 3D rendering.</li> <li>Responsible for creating inspiration boards, mini boards for sales tools, etc.</li> </ul> <p><br><strong>SKILLS:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Basic computer knowledge.</li> <li>Ability to learn how to design through new/advanced technology (Gemini, Fermat,<br>Browzwear).</li> <li>Good understanding of color and print.</li> <li>Experience in design or product development in the Men's Contemporary Market</li> <li>Basic knowledge of product and fabric.</li> <li>Basic knowledge and understanding of garment construction.</li> <li> Basic knowledge of design and color.</li> <li>Ability to perform basic flat sketches.</li> <li>Good organizational and communication skills.</li> </ul> <p><br>R<strong>EQUIREMENTS:</strong></p> <ul> <li>College degree in Fashion Design or equivalent experience.</li> <li>One year design experience (may include summer jobs, internships, etc.)</li> <li>Expertise in Adobe Illustrator</li> </ul> <p>Salary offered will be at the discretion of the Company and based on a candidate’s qu
