Your role

The Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A supports management planning and decision making by identifying, evaluating information, and then recommending actions. This role is accountable for the expense planning, reporting and analysis across all areas of the company, alongside supporting budget owners towards their targets.

What you'll be doing

Business Partnering

• Regularly present financials back to non-financial stakeholders.
• Collaborate with budget owners to provide clarity on what actions can drive business performance, how to “spend up” to budget and how to take steps on reducing inefficient spending.
• Proactively develop advanced modeling and analytics to improve planning accuracy.

• Communicate complex financial information in a clear manner to non-financial stakeholders.

Budgeting and Forecasting

• Support the budgeting process by overseeing and generating the expense outlook for people, marketing, occupancy and administration costs.
• Document and communicate key risks & opportunities to management.
• Produce quarterly expense re-forecasting.
• Review overall expense budget/ forecast, and present key items to the Director, FP&A.

Management Reporting

• Primary point of contact for queries relating to monthly reports and expenses.
• Manage the monthly reporting process, ensuring that all reporting deliverables on the team task tracker are met to the required standard on time.
• Maintain risks & opportunities tracker, to ensure that important items are communicated to the right stakeholders.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly variance analysis to budget, and report significant variances, future risks, and opportunities to management.
• Prepare and communicate analysis, presentations, and business reports, and present key items to the Director, FP&A/ appropriate budget owners.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify team, corporate, or business issues and work with the relevant stakeholders to develop a solution.
• Document bottlenecks/ over reliance on other inputs out of your control. Build solutions to reduce these risks.
• Ensure processes and reports are set up to answer core business questions around variances to budgets/ forecast.
• Consider opportunities for the company to expand or grow.

Other

• Prepare procedure documentation for critical FP&A processes and deliverables.
• Carry out tasks when necessary and as requested to support the CFO, the FP&A Director, the Executive and the PayByPhone accounting team
