We are now looking for a 

 

Strategic Purchaser

 

to join our team of 8 Strategic Purchasers responsible and managing our whole qualified suppliers base used for Special Applications (Military and Nuclear engines spare parts & services).

 

The preferred location for the position is in Surgères (France), Vaasa (Finland) and Mulhouse (France).

 

What will you be doing?

 

  • Manage and develop the assigned categories, supply performance to meet set targets for quality & delivery time, cost, and lead time.
  • Negotiate, create, and maintain supply conditions with suppliers and communicate results to the internal stakeholders in defined area of responsibility.
  • Handle supplier relationships.
  • Ensure that our suppliers take into account the overall technical, quality and heavy specific requirements of our nuclear business, manage the changes and improvements.
  • Participate in or execute supplier audits, validation, and follow-up.
  • Secure our supplier capacity for growing demand.

 

You will work in close collaboration with all the category managers and group strategic purchasers in charge of the categories of components.

 

For us to be the best match, we expect you to have understanding in the criticality of coordinating the required actions mobilization as appropriate with technical and quality departments and having experience of purchasing critical components in a similar area. As the ideal candidate, you are experiment in the supply chain, dealing with obsolescence and technical knowledge would be a must. For you to succeed in the position, we expect from you to have proactiveness, reactiveness and organization skills, as well as be communicative towards all stakeholders, altogether in an oriented mindset.

 

As Strategic Purchaser, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

 

  • Negotiate and maintain Nuclear Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA)
  • Negotiate STRATEGIC SUPPLY AND PURCHASE AGREEMENT (SSPA)
  • Ensure that objectives and targets on Quality, Delivery Reliability and Cost are met in line with worldwide Nuclear customers requirements and standards.
  • Maintain purchasing data.
  • Secure strategy & forecast capacity alignment.
  • Perform Vendor Management System rating.
  • Complete Workflow tasks for sales quotations, sales orders, identifications
  • Manage No source items, Request for Quote
  • Manage the obsolescence detection, monitor, secure suppliers and parts validation in cooperation with our QPTM (technical) department.
  • Place prototypes orders and follow-up qualification process.
  • Manage suppliers’ compliance & risks, incl. decarbonization contribution.
  • Solve problems with suppliers & internal stakeholders.

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

 

  • Good knowledges in industrial project management techniques
  • Basic technical knowledge and you are able to understand the challenges and needs of projects.
  • Fluent in English, French potential, and you are proficient in computer tools.
  • A real sense of interpersonal skills, you can create partnerships with
  • suppliers and good relationships with your surroundings
  • A good mastery of negotiation techniques
  • An open mind for improvement suggestions and being proactive

 

In this role, travel capacity is required to meet our suppliers, logistic or workshop centers. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 10%, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
