Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Angular / Node.js) (f/m/d)

Your mission

We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to become the primary frontend expert in our Application Platform team. While your core focus will be Angular development, you will also contribute to backend services (Node.js) as we build a scalable, enterprise-ready platform.

As a key member of the team, you will collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, and backend engineers to shape platform features that power our entire product ecosystem. In this role you will

• Take ownership of the frontend for the deskbird Application Platform, currently serving 100,000+ monthly active users, ensuring a scalable, maintainable, and high-performance Angular codebase.
• Develop reusable components and design system elements that improve consistency and efficiency across product teams when it comes to using application platform features like user selections.
• Coach and review other developers working on the Application Platform frontend.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to design and integrate APIs, ensuring an efficient data flow between frontend and backend services.
• Build highly integrated features like user signup and authentication flows across frontend, backend and cloud platform (GCP).
• Optimise application performance, accessibility, and user experience, ensuring our platform meets enterprise-grade requirements.
• Collaborate with product managers and UX designers to validate features early and iterate based on feedback.
• Lead cross-cutting technical initiatives that impact multiple teams, driving best practices in frontend development and architecture.

What you need to be successful

• 5+ years of experience in full-stack web development, with a strong emphasis on frontend engineering (Angular, TypeScript, RxJS).
• The ability to convert beautiful designs into high quality code.
• Experience with reusable components, design systems and/or storybook.
• At least basic backend development skills with Node.js and REST APIs.
• Strong understanding of frontend performance optimisation, accessibility, and modern web architecture best practices.
• Proficiency with authentication, authorisation (OAuth, OIDC), and security best practices in full-stack applications.
• A good understanding of the latest developments in AI code generation and experience using the state of the art (e.g., Github Copilot, ideally Cursor or Windsurf).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with fluency in English.
• A collaborative mindset, balancing ownership of frontend responsibilities with cross-functional platform work.
• The following are a plus:
  • Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, ideally GitHub Actions.
  • Knowledge of monorepos (Nx).
  • Experience with GCP and/or Firebase (big plus).
