The Staffing Director is a key leadership role responsible for managing all aspects of staffing for RN, LPN, and HHA staff in our home healthcare agency. This includes scheduling, addressing staffing issues, ensuring compliance, and working closely with the Care Team to maintain high-quality patient care. 
The duties and responsibilities outlined in the job description are not exhaustive and may be subject to change based on organizational needs. Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned at the discretion of management to ensure the effective operation of the organization. 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily assignments to ensure all shifts are covered efficiently. Participate in an on-call rotation to support urgent staffing needs. 
  • Ensure all staff adhere to regulatory requirements and work within safe hour limits. Maintain accurate documentation. 
  • Address and resolve staffing concerns or performance issues quickly and effectively. 
  • Work closely with the Care Team (DON, case managers, etc.) to align staffing with patient needs. Partner with recruiters to hire top talent. 
  • Assist in reviewing and managing competitive pay rates for nursing staff. 
  • Provide staffing assistance and best practices to other locations as needed. 
  • Mentor and support the staffing team, fostering a positive and efficient work environment. 
  • Continuously assess and improve staffing processes for better efficiency and patient care. 
  • Participate in job fairs and community events to attract top talent. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.  

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field (preferred). 
  • Strong knowledge of home health care regulations, including safe staffing, charting compliance, and regulatory standards. 
  • Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Care Team, DON, Compliance Manager, recruiters, and other markets. 
  • Experience with managing compensation, including pay rate assessments and adjustments. 
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Proficiency with staffing software and tools. 
  • Availability to participate in an on-call rotation
