  Advertised Salary: $51.25 per hour   FLSA: Exempt   Temporary/Continuing:  Continuing   Part-Time/Full-Time: Part-Time   Union Group: N/A   Term of Position: Less than 9 month   At Will/Just Cause: At Will   Summary of Position: Provide clinical teaching and patient care at the University Eye Center campus clinic (Big Rapids).

This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to provide clinical educational on a semester-by-semester basis.

We are looking to fill these positions as soon as possible.   Position Type: Faculty - Temporary & Continuing   Required Education: Optometry (O.D. Degree) or Ophthalmologist (M.D. or D.O. Degree)   Required Work Experience: At least two years of recent clinical experience or one year of clinical residency.   Required Licenses and Certifications: Current Michigan optometry license with DPA and TPA certification or equivalent licensure for M.D. or D.O. applicants.   Physical Demands:

  Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered: Previous experience supervising and training optometry interns.   Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Will be required to assume duties in patient care and teaching in the clinic.
Will require evaluating student clinical proficiency,

Any other duties assigned within the position classification area.   Marginal Duties/Responsibilities:     Skills and Abilities: Applicant must possess excellent clinical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
