Summary:We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join the Consumer Products team. You will help us build high-performance web and mobile applications using existing standards and conventions, and you will also contribute to the product architecture.

Summary:We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join the Consumer Products team. You will help us build high-performance web and mobile applications using existing standards and conventions, and you will also contribute to the product architecture.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, design, and develop features and functionality within applications for deployment to Android, iOS, and Web
- Develop educational activities and games in close coordination with design and QA
- Solve complex problems with concise and straightforward architectural solutions
- Ensure code quality through unit testing and code reviews
- Participate in new technology and technical solution evaluation and provide recommendations
- Perform hands-on development within existing code/products as well as new projects
- Coordinate with your team to define development timeframes, dependencies, and areas of risk to be considered in project planning
- Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure layouts, animations, audio, and graphical assets are efficiently integrated into application features while preserving artistic integrity and performance
- Partner with teammates to deliver the final production code
- Where appropriate, mentor other developers
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4+ years of proven experience building software (games or apps), ideally, that is consumer-facing and content-driven
- You have a familiarity with software design paradigms and design patterns
- You have a solid understanding of the full software development lifecycle
- You have experience with performance tuning and optimization techniques for front-end systems
- You write documented, unit-testable code that is compliant with company coding conventions and standards
- You have excellent attention to detail and are rigorous in self-testing code and delivering high-quality work
- You are an analytical thinker capable of translating business requirements and wireframes into application architecture
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with recent versions of Flutter
- Experience developing against a service-oriented architecture
- You have experience working in an Agile development framework
- You have educational game development experience
