Staff Attorney (Claims)

Our General Claims Legal Department is seeking an attorney with a minimum of 4 years of experience with insurance defense work, principally related to auto accident and premises liability, and handling commercial coverage litigation.  

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise outside insurance defense litigation, coverage litigation and appellate work
• Provide General Claims staff with legal advice regarding coverage and various claims questions
• Assist General Claims staff with regulatory matters, fraud investigations
• Develop and implement litigation strategy collaboratively with claims staff and outside defense counsel
• Advise General Claims staff on legal developments in case law, statutes and regulations

Job Requirements:

• JD and admission to NJ Bar required
• Minimum of 4 years of experience handling insurance coverage and insurance defense work both personal and commercial
• Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Must be decisive and well organized
