The ASA Business Operations, Business Intelligence team sits at the center of Zillow’s effort to transform the way we provide marketing and productivity tools to agents by creating best in class reporting and business analytics for an Executive audience to drive the Strategy and execution of the ASA core business which include Zillow Showcase, ShowingTime, Dotloop, and large components of the Premier Agent businesses.

About the role

Zillow is looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Manager to create stunning visualizations, conduct analysis, and most importantly create insights that drive action for Executive Leadership at Zillow Group. Our team owns visualization and analytics focused on our “L1 and L2” metrics - these are the key indicators of how our business is performing and is critical in enabling our team to “Inspect and Audit” the broader ASA business. This role will be part of a team focused on driving cross-functional projects, and will require substantial business acumen, operational rigor, professionalism, strategic thinking and problem solving, and an extreme proficiency in data analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

As Sr. Business Intelligence Manager, you'll be part of a talented team at the intersection of technology, finance, and real estate. Your leadership will:

  • Guide the creation of insightful data visualizations and strategic recommendations, effectively communicating across all levels of the organization

  • Foster alignment across Product, Data Science, Engineering Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Customer Experience teams, delivering actionable insights to enhance decision-making and operational effectiveness

  • Communicate complex analyses and strategies to executive leadership

  • Create scale-able self-service analytical models to be used by product, operations, marketing, and executive partners in analyzing both the current state of the business and a suite of forward-looking options.

  • Partner with financial planning & analysis teams to track and report financial performance

  • Isolate knowledge gaps and close them with quantitative and qualitative research. 

  • Perform data analysis and validation for creation, and ongoing curation, of recurring business and operational reports, dashboards, and valuable business insights, including curation and analysis of KPIs and SLAs, for recurring operations and ad hoc strategy/operations projects.

  • Partner with Behavior Science specialists to project consumer behavior in multi-scenario analysis; and optimize consumer and business outcomes among complex, multivariable decision mapping. 

  • Dive into vast amounts of untapped data to identify, refine, communicate, and launch new business opportunities at a rapid pace.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $97,800.00 - $156,200.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

  • 8+ years of business analysis experience, with experience building decision-making and financial models

  • 4+ years SQL experience (query creation, editing, optimizing)An inspirational leader who develops and motivates high-performing teams
