Team is currently working in a hybrid model and preference is for this position to be based onsite in Fridley, MN, but will consider US remote.  If you are looking to expand your business partnering skills and develop your financial acumen, come join the fast-paced world of Operations Finance.  This position reports to the Senior Manager of Global Operations and Supply Chain (GOSC) Financial Reporting Systems, Reporting, and Governance team.  This team supports the GOSC Operations FP&A organization reporting strategy, GOSC FP&A process enablement, and GOSC finance data governance.  This team also partners with the Corporate FP&A system team to support financial system strategy and initiatives.

We are looking for individuals who are curious about how to define and measure operational and financial success, who are problem solvers able to generate new ideas and who are confident in presenting solutions to benefit patients, business partners, and customers.

We believe that when people from different cultures, genders, and points of view come together, innovation is the result – and everyone wins.  Medtronic walks the walk, creating an inclusive culture where you can thrive.

A Day in the Life

This role will partner with other members of the GOSC FP&A systems team to support the GOSC reporting strategy, process enablement, and finance data governance.  Key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Facilitating reporting needs (e.g., financial flash, MFR, etc.), including content consolidation

  • Supporting FP&A finance process enablement (e.g., calendar, driver-based model, system tie-outs, data load support, etc.)

  • Supporting FP&A process improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and standardization

  • Implementing GOSC data tools / templates and supporting the governance of finance data (e.g., cost center structure, value stream mapping, allocation drivers, etc.)

  • Supporting the implementation of OneStream, phase-out of MDT_OPC, and transition to a new system

  • Assisting with change management, administration activities, and other end-user training support related to system enabled processes

Other duties may be assigned as needed and this role could also participate in other strategic system related projects.  This is a great learning experience for someone interested in learning more about Operations Finance, financial systems, and reporting in the organization.  In this role you will have the opportunity to collaborate across the GO&SC organization and with other system teams within Medtronic.
