We work across hardware and software enabling acceleration of input/output (I/O) to support cloud workloads varying from general compute to specialized compute such as high-performance databases, services, Artificial Intelligence (AI) training & interference.
We are hiring a Technical Program Manager II to drive the execution of our offload acceleration roadmap. As part of the team, you will partner with software architects, developers, and program managers to build the solution for our fleet. This includes evaluating new and emerging acceleration technologies . This opportunity will allow for career development and growth exploring new areas while delivering impact to the customers in the Azure fleet. You will have the opportunity to work alongside planners, architects, developers, and fellow program managers to deliver novel and compelling solutions. This is a flexible work opportunity with option to work from home partially or fully.

Responsibilities
- You will work with Software and Hardware Engineering to design technical solutions. You will also identify gaps and propose data-based mitigations.
- You will define success criteria and measure against those criteria as you collaborate with others to implement solutions for cross-functional projects. You’ll coordinate and ensure alignment across teams.
- You will represent the work of a diverse set of engineering functions to executives and represent successes and risks.
- You will partner with the program management team to refine roadmap and product goals based on data.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
- OR equivalent experience.
- OR equivalent experience.
- 1+ year(s) of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
- 1+ years of experience opn working with products with complex technical platform and following the concepts of modern software engineering principles.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects from concept to release including servicing & support.
- 2+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
- 1+ year(s) of experience working with hardware and software layers of Private data center or public cloud such as Azure
- 2+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
- Curiosity to innovate and solve complex problems while retaining focus on maintaining timeline and goals.
Technical Program Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
