Financial Analyst IV

Summary of Position:

The Financial Analyst IV plays a critical role in driving informed business decisions through advanced financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic support. This senior-level analyst position is responsible for analyzing complex financial data, developing financial models, and delivering insights that directly influence organizational planning and performance. The Financial Analyst IV ensures compliance with all applicable financial regulations, internal policies, and controls while supporting cross-functional business initiatives and reporting requirements.

Essential Functions:

• Lead the development, refinement, and analysis of financial models to support strategic planning, budgeting, and long-range forecasting
• Evaluate and interpret financial results, trends, and key performance indicators to provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership
• Prepare, review, and present financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Conduct variance analysis between actual results and financial projections; investigate discrepancies and recommend corrective actions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the financial impact of operational changes, new initiatives, or business risks
• Ensure adherence to GAAP, internal financial policies, and regulatory standards across all financial operations and reporting
• Support audits and regulatory reporting as needed
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives within the finance function

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required; advanced degree. 
• 6 - 8 Years of Experience    

Qualifications:

• Minimum 6–8 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, with demonstrated success in strategic business support roles. Years of experience may be offset with possessing and maintaining a CPA license
• Strong ability to build and maintain rapport and trust by building strong relationships with direct team, leadership, stakeholders, and clients
• Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Hyperion, or similar platforms)
• Exceptional problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communicator and influencer 
• Displays exceptional verbal, written, and listing for understanding skills.  Strong ability to tailor communication style to specific audiences
