Account Director- Commercial Lines- Cork

<p>The role of the Account Director in our Cork region is to manage a portfolio of existing clients and execute a constantly evolving pipeline to quote and secure new clients within a dynamic team setting. The role entails managing new and existing commercial accounts in conjunction with the Regional Manager. <strong></strong></p><p><strong><br/>Key Responsibilities: </strong><strong><br/></strong><br/><strong>Sales and Activity Management:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Responsible for Managing Client insurance requirements including inviting, securing and documenting renewal as well as mid-year alterations and claims handling in line with agreed protocols and procedures</li> <li>Provide support and guidance to Account Executive(s) on clients.</li> <li>The achievement of other upsell / cross sell targets</li> <li>Ensure agreed processes are followed in all matters</li> <li>Manage aged debt and premium collection</li> <li>Comply with all Management Audit Requirements</li> <li>Seek, quote and convert quotations for New Commercial Insurance Business.</li> <li>Meet income retention, income acquisition and referral targets set.</li> </ul><p><strong>Customer Relationship Management:</strong></p><ul> <li>Build long term trusted relationships with customers, through understanding their needs and being a true partner.</li> <li>Enable customers to make informed decisions, through sharing of best advice and knowledge.</li> </ul><p><strong>Customer Service:</strong></p><ul> <li>Provide professional, action-orientated and timely service to our customers, staff and management</li> <li>Put customers at the heart of everything you do, aiming to delight them during every interaction to build loyalty</li> </ul><p><strong><strong>Team Collab<strong><strong>oration</strong>:</strong></strong></strong></p><ul> <li>Work closely with designated Account Executives and Team Lead.</li> <li>Work as part of a Team environment to ensure all your customer needs are met</li> </ul><ul> <li>Assist in achieving the overall objectives of the Commercial Lines Team.</li> <li>Working together to ensure the Team is on track to meet Arachas Retail monthly and yearly targets.</li> </ul><p><strong>Compliance:</strong></p><ul> <li>Work with the Team Leader and Compliance Teams in ensuring that quality of file records meets prescribed standards.</li> </ul><p><strong><strong></strong><strong><strong>Requirements:</strong></strong></strong></p> <ul> <li>5 years commercial experience in SME.</li> <li>CIP qualified as a minimum and studying towards the ACII.</li> <li>Excellent communication skills and a strong client relationship background.</li> <li>Possess a positive, can do attitude with the ability to adapt to and embrace change.</li> <li>Demonstrate good technical &amp; product knowledge. Excellent negotiation skills and an understanding how best to negotiate between price and risk.</li> <li>The ability to prioritise workloads and adapt to unforeseen events.</li> <li>A good degree of personal organisation and a structured approach to time and resource management. Strong IT and organisational skills.</li> <li>Compliant with the Central Bank’s Minimum Competency Code and Fitness &amp; Probity.</li> </ul><p><strong><strong><strong>Person Specification</strong>:</strong></strong></p> <ul> <li>Previous experience in a similar role</li> <li>Previous Open I experience. Previous successful Insurance Sales experience.</li> <li>Significant technical insurance knowledge.</li> <li>Proficient in Office, including Outlook, Word &amp; Excel.</li> <li>Ability to develop relationships with insurers and clients. An enthusiastic and flexible approach, along with demonstrated attention to detail.</li> <li>Willingness to learn &amp; develop</li> <li>Strong work ethic</li> <li>Commitment to ongoing professional development. Quick learning capabilities and an aptitude for understanding the variable elements of insurance products.</li> </ul>
