Here you’ll interact daily with team members during the problem resolution process and will partner with other key stakeholders to support our internal customers and their responsibilities 

 

How will you make a difference?  

As a member of the Global Operations Equipment group, you will be responsible for ideation, design, and implementation of critical strategic initiatives. We have production facilities across the globe. You will help bring a strong focus to continuously improving both our team and our processes. 

 

What do we want to know about you?  

The Materials Planning and Execution Manager provides materials management expertise to and leads a team of lineside materials/planning specialists. In this role, you will utilize your experience to solve urgent and complex supply chain problems, empower your team to problem solve materials issues, and drive continuous improvement efforts across the materials team and locomotive facility. As a manager, you will be accountable for your team’s performance and will lead them to achieve plant operational, inventory, and premium transportation targets.  

 

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited institution 

  • A minimum of four years' work experience in a manufacturing operations environment w/ at least two years in one or more materials/fulfillment roles. 

  • Strong knowledge of Oracle ERP or another ERP system. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications & data analytics tools. 

  • Desired Characteristics: 

  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communications skills with a history of leading teams. 

  • Ability to influence up and down the organizational structure and to lead initiatives of large scope and impact while coordinating several projects simultaneously.  

  • Proven analytical and quality/process improvement skills. 

  • Willingness to take on tough challenges and grow professionally. 

 

 

What will your typical day look like?  

  • Lead a team of materials/planning specialists who are responsible for all direct material on one or several production lines in the locomotive facility. This may also include UX & local repair value streams.
