THE JOB:

The primary responsibility of the Slots Guest Services Representative is to elevate the guest experience by providing assistance with property and slot-related questions, handling slot machine payouts, and enrolling guests in the MGM Resorts International Rewards Program. This role involves completing all required regulatory and federal tax paperwork accurately and verifying guest age using government-issued IDs. All duties are carried out in accordance with Gaming Regulations and established property policies and procedures.

STARTING RATE: $16/hour plus tips

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Accurate Jackpot Payouts: Pays slot machine jackpots and completes IRS W2G/1042-S forms with precision.

• Guest Enrollment & Verification: Enrolls guests in the MGM Resorts International Rewards Program, ensuring compliance with ID and age verification guidelines.

• Proactive Guest Service: Assists with property and slot-related questions, maintains a tidy and organized slot area, and delivers personalized guest service.

• Minor Slot Machine Repairs: Performs minor repairs such as clearing ticket/bill jams, addressing Bill Acceptor and ticket printer issues, and replacing ticket paper to ensure smooth operation.

• Welcoming & Attentive: Greets guests warmly with a smile and eye contact, ensuring a welcoming environment.

• Responsive Floor Monitoring: Continuously circulates assigned areas, promptly responding to slot machine service lights and guest needs.

• Knowledgeable & Engaged: Provides recommendations on MGM shows, restaurants, and attractions, stays informed about the casino floor layout, and assists guests in locating specific machines or denominations.

• Underage Gambling Awareness: Remains vigilant for guests under the legal gambling age of 21, reporting any underage individuals to a Supervisor or Security.

• Policy & Compliance Adherence: Complies with all departmental and company policies, including Title 31 regulations.

• Additional Duties: Perform other job-related duties as requested.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

• Availability: Must be available to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

• Outstanding Guest Service: Approachable, positive, and dedicated to delivering exceptional, solution-oriented service to every guest.

• Proven Money-Handling Skills: Demonstrated experience in managing and processing financial transactions accurately and efficiently.

• IRS Form Knowledge: Familiarity with IRS forms and experience generating W2G/1042-S forms accurately.

• Strong Mathematical Abilities: Excellent mathematical skills, enabling quick and precise calculations.

• Attention to Detail: Highly organized with a strong focus on accuracy, particularly in documentation and transaction management.
