Job Summary
The Deaconess EMS Manager is responsible for financial, operational, and strategic planning including facilitation of internal communication between field staff, management, and administration, marketing strategy, system status monitoring, growth management, facilitating relationships with outside agencies and facilities, capital equipment and vehicle needs, as well as other operational support functions as assigned by the Director of Business Development. This position will also ensure compliance with company policies, State and Federal Laws, Rules and Regulations.
Essential Functions
• Lead and motivate employees to advance employee engagement develop a high performing team
• Oversee all operations and business activities to ensure they produce the desired results and are consistent with the overall strategy and mission
• Make high-quality investing decisions to advance the business and increase profits
• Enforce adherence to legal guidelines and in-house policies to maintain the company’s legality and business ethics
• Review financial and non-financial reports to devise solutions or improvements
• Build trust relations with key partners and stakeholders and act as a point of contact for important existing partners and potential partners
• Analyze problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure company survival and growth
• Maintain a deep knowledge of the markets and industry of the company
• Recognition of general and management staff
• Maintains professional relationships with medical facilities in the company's service areas.
• Monitor and coordinate the operational budget; forecast funds needed for staffing,equipment, materials and supplies.
• Attend all departmental and corporate meetings as directed.
• Ensures compliance required by state laws.
• Participate in professional organizations.
• Other duties as assigned.
Education
Associate’s Degree Paramedic Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Healthcare related field Preferred
Work Experience
Minimum of one year relevant experience with company (unless otherwise stated) required
Minimum of five years' relevant experience EMT-Paramedic experience required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
KSAs
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations and legal documents.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of Supervisors, clients, customers, and the public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumferences, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
The individual must demonstrate computer and systems competencies in the following areas: data entry, data retrieval, data assembly and organization, data analysis as well as proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and data base management programs.
