Job Description
PXP is currently seeking a Business Affairs Manager to work in partnership with our Producers, Production Planners, Studio Hub Partners, and other stakeholders on content productions including broadcast, social, digital, print, and activations across a global piece of business. This position requires a team player that has an entrepreneurial spirit and is comfortable working in a fast-paced global ecosystem.
- Partners with producers to provide accurate production estimates and review vendor bids
- Review of creative for permissions and clearances that are required
- Strong knowledge in all areas of talent:
- Advise on rules and guidelines for hiring union talent, residual estimating and payments
- Create talent contracts, authorize session payments, and prepare completion reports
- Over-scale talent and Influencer negotiations
- Non-union talent contracting and negotiations
- Rights management and tracking of usage expirations for all third-party rights
- Experience with licensed music and Intellectual Property clearance and negotiations
- Responsible for drafting of purchase orders, vendor agreements, releases, affidavits, and music rights agreements
- Oversees job reconciliations and reviews all charges for accuracy for final billing
Please note: This role will report into our 375 Hudson Avenue, NY, NY studio but we are open to 100% remote candidates in the United States.
Qualifications
- 5-7+ years as an agency Business Affairs Manager and/or Talent Manager
- Knowledge of union contracts
- Excellent people skills, strong verbal and written skills are critical
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize to keep projects on time and on budget, works well under pressure
- Possesses characteristics of curiosity, resourcefulness, passion, initiative, creativity
- Team-player attributes such as competency, accountability, and collaboration

Compensation Range: $73,500- $123,500. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
