Maintenance Helper

Responsible for assisting mechanics in daily repair work. Perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Review repair log and prepares jobs
- Assist mechanics with repairs to equipment
- Conduct parts runs
- Perform preventive maintenance on various equipment
- Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
Minimum
- Ability to read/interpret documents
- Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license
- Willingness to continue education as necessary
- Strong time management skills
- Ability/willingness to learn to operate the following special equipment, machinery, and/or special tools: hand truck, hand and power pallet jack, power lift equipment (company will train)
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one or small group situations to customers, clients, and / or associates in the organization
- Ability to prioritize/multi-task while providing accurate/on-time results
- Ability to work a variety of shifts which may include weekends and overtime
- Basic math skills (i.e., counting, addition, and subtraction)
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to write routine reports/correspondence
Desired
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year of experience in mechanical field
