Senior Risk Specialist for Non-Financial Risk 

Non-Financial Risk (NFR) is a second line of defence function within Group Risk Management, responsible for setting standards, advising, and overseeing non-financial risk management across the Danske Bank Group. In the Large Corporates & Institutions (LC&I) team, we offer direct oversight over multiple core business areas such as Markets, Investment Banking, Asset Management, and supporting functions anchored in the COO area. The team also covers several Group Functions and provides oversight for certain subsidiaries. 

Our NFR LC&I team comprises 7 risk specialists, aiming to be effective with a culture rooted in openness, trust, collaboration, and integrity, creating an environment where diverse contributions thrive. We prioritise personal and professional development, supporting each other to contribute meaningfully to risk management for our customers and communities. 

Your Role 

Your focus will be on the Markets and TxB areas, where you will engage with diverse and complex topics with Group-wide impact, directly supporting the Group’s strategic goals. This involves building strong relationships and collaborating with specialists and stakeholders across the Group and the three lines of defence. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Support and challenge the first line of defence on NFR framework implementation and promote a sound risk culture. 

• Enhance second line oversight, monitoring, and challenge. 

• Establish and run thematic reviews, both Group-wide with colleagues from other NFR teams and reviews specific to our area. 

• Represent NFR in relevant forums (committees, councils, SteerCos, etc.). 

• Foster relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders within NFR and across the three lines of defence. 

What You Will Bring 

You are an analytical thinker with attention to detail. You foster relationships and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders to create positive outcomes. Additionally, you possess: 

• A relevant educational background. 

• Experience in risk management from a similar or relevant role in 1LoD or compliance. 

• Understanding of non-financial risk methodologies. 

• Proficiency in English. 

• Understanding of products and practices relevant in the LC&I area.
