Your Mission
The Director Direct Procurement is globally responsible for the souring of all direct materials and CAPEX for Beyond Gravity based on a resilient sourcing strategy taking into consideration Quality, Delivery and Cost. • Develop and lead the global direct procurement organization / team for Beyond Gravity which will be formed of selected individuals pulled-out from their current organisations within the business units and new hires
• Global direct procurement ownership
- Establish and apply aligned procurement processes, sustainable supplier assessments, developments and qualification of an efficient and compliant supplier base
- Act as a responsive business partner to the programs with responsibility for all direct materials, CAPEX and supplier integration, and assume material budget accountability as agreed
- Implement best practices for identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers
- Act as a change agent within own organization as well as towards main stakeholders
- Develop category management strategies to align procurement activities with organizational goals
- Identify opportunities for process automation and leverage technology solutions to streamline operations
- Utilize data analytics to monitor and assess procurement performance
- Develop and present reports that provide insights into key procurement metrics and KPI
• Strategic Sourcing
- Develop and implement short- and long-term make-or-buy strategies jointly with the business
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of specific spend categories, market trends, and supplier landscapes
- Lead the development and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize costs, enhance supplier relationships, and improve overall procurement efficiency.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies including dual sourcing for critical supplies
- Conduct regular price negotiations and conclude agreements and framework contracts
- Define and manage the supplier portfolio
- Continuously optimize total cost of ownership (TCO) and drive savings initiatives
• Commodity Management
- Implement commodity group management including supplier performance and risk management
- Proactively manage the suppliers to help improve the performance of the supply base in terms of quality, delivery and cost
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure strategic alignment, performance, and continuous improvement
- Support project tenders with price estimates and early supplier involvement ensuring alignment of contract durations / back-2-back agreements
Your Story
Must Have:
• Proven experience in procurement leadership roles, ideally at a director level, with a focus on strategic sourcing, category management, and value-driven purchasing
• Proven experience with procurement technologies and software solutions, including e-sourcing, e-procurement, and spend analytics tools
• Strong understanding of compliance, risk management, and regulatory requirements in the procurement domain - Aerospace and Defense industries a plus
• Experience in negotiating complex contracts and managing supplier relationships
• Experience in managing and leading cross-functional teams as well as working in a matrix organization
• Experience using supply chain management software and tools, including Oracle, SAP Ariba, and/or Envision
