We are seeking an innovative and talented Senior Principal Engineer. Responsibilities include providing support to Mission Planning functions, software analysis and troubleshooting, integration and test support, evaluation of software enhancements, and coordinating with other internal and external engineering teams.  The candidate will also be required to evaluate requests for change, understanding their scope and impact as well as communicating their findings in a clear and concise manner. The candidate must broad domain knowledge and participate in technical forums. They provide information to customer groups and help guide decisions that pertain to future capabilities on the program.   The ideal candidate would be highly motivated and have a strong desire to coordinate and have a team player attitude. What You Will Do

• Troubleshoot, test, and integrate Mission Planning software baseline.
• Provide technical assessments and coordination with internal and external engineering teams. 
• Develop CONOPs.
• Evaluation RFCs and assess impacts and scope changes. 
• Support anomaly response and resolution.

Qualifications You Must Have  

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 10 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience.
• Experience in Mission Planning baseline.
• Experience in assessing the impact of change to workload, efficiency, timeliness, and product quality.
• Experience in troubleshooting and problem resolution.
• An active and transferable TS/SCI CI Poly U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.

• Experience with software development and baseline delivery processes.
• Project management experience.
• Creative thinking and innovation involve generating new ideas and solutions to drive progress and enhance capabilities.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
