Residential Draftsperson & Estimator

Drafting & Design:

• Produce accurate and detailed architectural drawings, floor plans, elevations, and site plans for residential projects.

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and builders to refine designs and ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.

• Modify existing designs based on client feedback or construction requirements.

Estimating:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and quantity take-offs for materials, labor, and equipment.

• Analyze project plans and specifications to develop accurate project budgets.

• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to gather up-to-date pricing and availability.

• Assist in developing construction schedules and feasibility studies.

Other Duties:

• Manage and grow a portfolio of new and existing accounts in the construction and homebuilding industry.

• Provide product information, pricing, and quotes on dimensional lumber, engineered wood products, panels, and related building materials.

• Stay up to date with market trends, pricing, and competitor activity.

• Attend industry events, trade shows, and job sites as needed.

• Experience in lumber or building materials sales (minimum 2 years preferred).

• In-depth knowledge of lumber types, grades, and applications.

• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

• Self-motivated with the ability to manage time effectively.

• Proficiency with computer systems
