We are looking for a Productibility Project Engineer Co-Op in Rockford, IL who will define core manufacturing technologies required in support of our Product Line Strategy. This student will also stay current with relevant manufacturing technology advances in the aerospace industry and drive technology readiness and manufacturing readiness level progression in the implementation of new manufacturing methodologies.

Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run June-December 2025 (including the Fall semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity.

What You Will Do:

• Identify/develop/implement cost reduction opportunities.
• Supporting Design for Manufacturability & Assembly during the proposal and product definition phase of design
• Detail print review and signoff for part producibility
• Product cost reduction and health improvement leadership
• Design to cost tracking
• Engineering representation in sourcing strategy conversations
• Global Operation and supply chain process change review and approval
• New manufacturing technology identification, evaluation, and adoption.

This position reports directly to the MPC Producibility Manager.

Qualifications You Must Have:   

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the information under this program/contract

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. Must be a commutable distance to Rockford, IL to work an onsite schedule. This position may be eligible for relocation.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
