Job Description

1. Under general supervision, plans and coordinates educational activities for nursing staff which shall be directed toward the achievement of excellence in patient care. The Clinical Nurse Educator is a registered nurse who serves as a clinical expert, educator, and change agent in the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of staff development programs.

Qualifications

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. The specific job duties may be changed by the Department Director with or without prior notice based on the needs of the organization.
• To qualify for the position the candidate must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and possess a BS in Nursing and 3 years recent clinical experience. Certification in area of specialty is desired.
